During 2006, ICUL President/CEO Dan Plauda has been hosting chapter/CEO luncheons to provide an update on critical issues for credit unions.
During the luncheons, Plauda has provided an overview of the state of the League and Service Corporation, discussed corporate goals for both organizations, and cost containment and streamlining measures that are underway internally to make the ICU System leaner and stronger. In addition, Plauda has also discussed external factors that have been playing a part, both positively and negatively, in the current operating environment for credit unions. He stresses, though, that the meetings are very much a two-way exchange of ideas.
“The luncheons have been a great opportunity to continue my small group dialogue with our executives from around the state,” said Plauda. “In addition to providing our members with up-to-the-minute information, I have also been learning first hand what products and services are working, what needs to be improved and what credit unions need that we are currently not providing.”
So far, Plauda has hosted 11 such meetings, including two at the ICUL facilities in Naperville, and has another eight scheduled around the state through November.
