ICUL provides advice on job search resources

In an effort to assist its member credit unions seeking job applicants, the League is providing information about several online job resources.

First, the League is proud to announce its partnership with www.CreditUnionboard.com. The new ICUL Job Board by CreditUnionboard.com enables employers to post jobs and search through over 135,000 industry resumes. The job board packages that are available offer members unlimited access to resumes and unlimited job postings capabilities. Job seekers can post resumes and search jobs for free. Through this partnership, League members will receive an exclusive discount of up to 20 percent off select job board packages. To proceed to the League’s Job Board, click here.

In order to help broaden the pool for those seeking job applicants, the League is also offering several additional suggestions. These include CUNA; Career One Stop, which allows employers to post job openings free of charge and allows you to search its resume database and create customized job descriptions also free to job seekers); NACElink, which focuses on matching employers and universities; and The Illinois Job Bank, which allows employers to list job openings in Illinois.

These resources are available to credit unions in addition to the League’s current service of offering League members a free, dues-supported job posting service via its web site and mailed in hard copy monthly. These “classifieds” list job opportunities available in Illinois credit unions, with anywhere from eight to 15 listings available each month. We strongly encourage credit unions seeking job applicants to take advantage of this free service to post job openings (contact the League’s Human Resource Department to post a job opening).

If you have any questions about any of these services, please contact Vicki Ponzo, Senior Vice President of Member Services, or see the Web site indicated directly.
