ICU Foundation provides more than $28K in second round of grants for 2012. The Illinois Credit Union Foundation (ICU Foundation) recently awarded $28,750 in Small Credit Union Development (SCUD), Community Service, and Marketing and Business Development grants, bringing the total awarded for the year to more than $74,300. Chapter Leaders experience "Oscar Winning" annual conference. Nearly 90 leaders from 17 of the League’s 24 chapters were in attendance for the annual Chapter Leaders Conference. Hosted by ICUL and the Chicago Metro Chapter of Credit Unions, this year’s meeting was held August 22-23 at the Tinley Park Convention Center. With a theme of "The Oscars", the event provided an opportunity for attendees to celebrate award winning performances from the past year. Full story.
CU execs/activists planning to Hike the Hill at two events. The League anticipates hosting a mighty delegation of political activists at its own annual Hike the Hill event October 3-4 to discuss federal legislative priorities with lawmakers in the nation's capitol and to maintain and enhance our credit union political and regulatory position in Washington, D.C.
