Enthusiasm to continue between young professionals, Convention attendees. Legislative Day, other May Springfield events open for registration. It will once again be a busy time for the League and credit unions in the state capitol at the end of April and in early May.  That's because first, ICUL's annual Legislative Day and Reception will be held on May 1.  This important annual event will be held at a new location: the Springfield Hilton Hotel.  Please also take note about additional events taking place that week.  The 3rd annual Springfield-area CUPAC golf outing will take place on April 30 – one day prior.  please mark your calendar for now to stay around on May 2, the day after Legislative Day, for a board college being hosted by the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS).  Full story.

ICU Foundation lifts asset sizes for small CU grants.  In light of the NCUA recently changing its definition of a small credit union, the Illinois Credit Union Foundation (ICU Foundation) board of directors also recently voted to increase the maximum asset size for the Small Credit Union Development (SCUD) and Marketing & Business Development (MBD) grant programs.  Credit unions with assets up to $30 million are now eligible to apply for SCUD grants, while credit unions with assets up to $50 million are now eligible to apply for MBD grants.
