The State of Illinois is sponsoring an event to help homeowners who struggling on their mortgage. The program has three goals – 1. Get consumers to meet with counselors or the lender sooner increasing the chance of success. 2. Provide education about the foreclosure process so homeowners can manage this crisis better. 3. Get homeowners to FREE counselors prior to being charged of $3,000 to $12,000 and the possibility of the "company" disappearing with their money. This is a FREE event and we are NOT asking for financial assistance. We are only asking for assistance letting homeowners know about the event. This event is at Joliet Township High School – West Campus, 401 N Larkin Ave, Joliet IL 60435. Financially Fit Day

The Illinois Credit Union Foundation and National Credit Union Foundation invite all Illinois credit unions to hold a "Financially Fit Day" on April 3 to kick off National Financial Literacy Month. This day is part of a relatively new campaign, entitled “Credit Unions Support Financial Education: Leading the Way to Financial Freedom.” In order to join in this initiative, credit unions should hold a "Financially Fit Day" and/or fundraise throughout April. FREE NCUA Credit Union Workshop - Alsip
The NCUA workshop program will once again feature industry partners, hot topic issues and information on growth products for small credit unions. CUNA Mutual, will provide "Hidden in Plain Sight," a thrilling exposè on employee dishonesty. Also included is a working lunch covering fair lending, an opening session that will explore breathing new life into old products, strategic planning, and compliance hot topics as breakout sessions. ICUL 83rd Annual Convention - Schaumburg

Have you planned yet to come back to Schaumburg for the League’s 83rd Annual Convention? The theme of ICUL's 2013 Convention is "Passport to Success!" This year's premiere educational event will be held April 18-20, 2013. Mark Sievewright as been announced as the Keynote Speaker. Other speaker highlights will include Bill Hampel, Credit Union National Association Chief Economist. Legislative Day and Reception Event, Golf Outing - Springfield

Please mark your calendar to attend the League’s annual Legislative Day event and reception, which is scheduled for May 1. The 3rd annual Springfield golf outing to benefit CUPAC is again being held prior to Legislative Day on Tuesday, April 30 at the Edgewood Golf Club in Auburn, IL, starting with registration and lunch at 11:00 a.m. Complete details for these events have been provided via separate brochures mailed to all credit unions and on the League’s Web site.
