ICUL hosts annual CEO Summit

Dan Mica, (at top), former CUNA President/CEO and US Congressman, was the main speaker at this year's CEO Summit. Mica presented a “Washington Update on Congress, Credit Unions and the NCUA.” Mica is now President/ CEO of The DMA Group. Other highlights included a roundtable facilitated by ICUL President/CEO Dan Plauda (below left) that also included Steve Olson, ICUL EVP, General Counsel and COO; and Patrick Smith, ICUL VP, Communications and Regulatory Affairs. The event was held June 5-6 at the Hotel Arista in Naperville. Nearly 30 CEOs from around the state were in attendance.

First Financial CU hosts opening at new main office

Following seven months of construction, First Financial CU opened the doors of its new main Chicago branch on May 21 and held an offical grand opening on June 7. The building features an innovative, free-moving lobby with teller pods in place of counters, drive-through teller lanes with two-way audio and video, and multiple green initiatives in the design and materials used. At right, CEO Patrick Basler cut the ribbon to ceremoniously open the branch.

Aldersgate FCU celebrates 50 years

Patrick Voss, ICUL Regional Director (at right) presented a plaque to Aldersgate FCU for its 50 years of service at the United Methodist Ministers annual convention on June 8. The plaque was presented to the founding President of the Board, Rev. Billy Hahs, and to the current Board President, Rev. Alan Rhein.

Altonized Community FCU hosts member appreciation

Altonized Community FCU held recently held an appreciation day for its members. This very well- attended event also saw reps and equipment from the Alton Fire Dept., Madison County Sheriffs Dept., Arch Rescue Helicopter, and "Fredbird".
