CUPAC 2011 Fundraising Results
The 2011 Chapter Competition generated a substantial amount of funds for CUPAC.  The following chapters raised the greatest amounts and will be honored at ICUL's 2012 Chapter Leaders Conference (see next story): 

  • 1st place went to the Southern Illinois Chapter with $34,166.67 (this chapter holds the distinct title of only chapter to win 1st place 13 times);

  • 2nd place went to the Kankakee Valley Chapter with $15,007.03 (this chapter has placed in the top four, 10 times over the last 13 years);

  • 3rd place went to the George G. Burnett Chapter with $10,705.39 (which has placed in the top three, 14 times over the last 17 years); and

  • Honorable mention went to Illinois Quad Cities Chapter with $10,000.00 raised. In addition, 11 other chapters received Honorable Mentions for raising $1,000 or more for CUPAC during 2011. They included:
    • Thomas W. Doig:  $8,118.28;
    • Tri-County:  $7,395.12;
    • Chicago Metro:  $5,580.00;
    • John L. Kelly:  $4,625.00;
    • Bloomington:  $3,599.82;
    • Northern Cook County:  $2,864.03;
    • Rockford Area:  $2,750.00;
    • Aurora:  $2,583.00;
    • Greater Decatur:  $1,972.00;
    • Northwest Illinois:  $1,806.00; and
       
    • Danville Area:  $1,000.00
  • The "most improved" chapter award recognizes the chapter that had the highest percentage increase in their fundraising from the prior year (prior year amount must be more than zero). In 2011, the Quincy Chapter of Credit Unions increased fundraising by 415.15 percent!

Save the Date - 2012 Chapter Leaders Conference
The 2012 conference has been set for August 22 - 23 and will be held at the Tinley Park Convention Center.  Watch your mail in the coming months for more details.

Follow up items from 2011 Chapter Leaders Conference
As announced at the conference, the ideas shared for the "Team Play Books" as part of the roundtable discussions have been summarized and are available via the League's Web site.  In addition, we also wanted to provide information on a few follow-up items (in case you have not already seen them), including: photos and a full recap story from the event, a list of basket raffle winners, an expense report, and tentative dates for the 2012 conference.
