Plan now to join other CU execs/activists for 2013 CUNA GAC

Although the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) is still months away, we wanted to be sure you know this event will be held February 24-28, 2013.

As you know, as the largest and most impactful credit union conference, CUNA GAC is the one event that all credit unions should attend.  This year’s event will focus on the challenges and opportunities for credit unions presented by the agenda of the soon-to-be elected 113th Congress.

Join other champions of the credit union movement and help us demonstrate to our newly elected and veteran representatives how our commitment to our members makes credit unions different from other financial institutions.  The GAC is the credit union movement’s premier political event and its largest national conference.  The theme for the 2013 GAC is Powerful Cause. Positive Effect.

"It is important for credit unions to have a strong presence on Capitol Hill.  It is especially powerful when local constituents go to Washington, D.C.," said Dan Plauda, ICUL President/Chief Executive Officer.  "Our political success over the years has been due in large part to organized events to educate lawmakers about credit unions.  These Hill events are opportunities for attendees to visit their federal lawmakers to maintain a strong political and regulatory future."

We appreciate your continued support and participation in our programs.  We look forward to seeing you in Washington!
