Torrance V. Campbell Memorial (2006)
Torrance Campbell was best known for having a passion for service during his 19 years at Baxter Credit Union. Even though he lived with Multiple Myeloma, a form of blood cancer for the last eight years of his life, Torrance still kept his passion high until his passing last year.
As the Director of Sales and Service Training at Baxter Credit Union, he motivated the staff by telling compelling service stories. He was also the type of individual who had a kind word for everyone. He always asked how you were doing and wanted to make sure you had everything you needed.
Even from his hospital bed, Torrance was thinking of ways he could improve the credit union’s call monitoring to further enhance the skills of its employees. That's just the type of person he was.
According to Baxter Credit Union CEO Mike Valentine, “Torrance has truly left some sort of mark, footprint, impression, and/or memory on everyone with whom he came in contact. His warm, smiling face will be sorely missed. Torrance will not be forgotten and he will be etched in our hearts forever.”
Torrance also had a passion for his two sons, Justin and Evan, and Jennifer, his wife of over 20 years.
