League Enhances Web site
New Small Credit Union Resource Center; New Passwords
Effective August 8, 2007, the Illinois Credit Union League (ICUL) has implemented two new enhancements to its Web site (www.iculeague.org).
First, in conjunction with the Small Asset Size Conference, ICUL rolled out a new, comprehensive online resource – the Small Credit Union Resource Center.
This new, password-protected section has been developed specifically with the intention of providing small credit unions (under $20 million in assets) with a wealth of resources. It includes four main sections:
- Planning: Establish a business plan to help your credit union set priorities and make decisions via basic planning sessions (which are part of your league dues and free of charge);
- Products: Attract, retain, and serve their members more effectively by providing financial services that might otherwise be out of reach by tapping into the products and services of the ICUL Service Corporation;
- Hot Topics: A quick reference to valuable tools (including educational sessions, predatory lending information, expansion opportunities, partnership possibilities and marketing ideas) to help small credit unions manage current issues;
- Top Templates: Access numerous downloadable budgeting worksheets and policies tailored specifically to the needs of smaller credit unions; and
- Much, much more
Second, the League has also implemented new random password criteria for its affiliates when accessing members-only resources. All credit unions should have received a letter with their new user name and password. Please note that access is granted to affiliated credit unions on a by-credit union (not individual) basis. Please share this access information with other staff as you feel is appropriate.
We invite you to check out the new Small Credit Union Resource Center as well as the many other resources that are available via the League’s Web site. For more information about the Web site or your credit union’s new password criteria, please contact William Wille, ICUL PR Coordinator at (800) 942-7124, ext. 3216.
