I-CARE Chapter Representative of the Year

The I-CARE Chapter Representative of the Year is an award to recognize one chapter representative who has shown exemplary volunteer commitment to I-CARE, the League’s cooperative advertising program, and the National Credit Union Brand Campaign.  This year, we are pleased to announce Sandy Teausant Burkart as the winner of this year’s I-CARE Rep of the Year award.  

Sandy is being recognized for her efforts made to I-CARE in the past year. She is one of our veteran I-CARE Representatives and is a regular attendee at chapter functions.  Sandy effectively communicates the importance of I-CARE, and as a result has been able to consistently garner support for the program by credit unions in her chapter.   She actively participates as a member of the Advisory Board, and has championed I-CARE and use of the National Credit Union Brand in the Tri-County Chapter.

In her role as I-CARE Representative, Sandy has applied her strong marketing background to maximize I-CARE efforts in her chapter.  She has demonstrated this by utilizing a combination of I-CARE contributions from credit unions in her chapter and chapter funds to double the number of billboards that are placed in her market.  Through this effort, the positive brand and image of credit unions that I-CARE characteristically strives to communicate is intensified in the Tri-County Chapter.
