Thomas Ewen is the President/CEO of ISU Credit Union and was the I-CARE Representative last year when the Bloomington Chapter of Credit Unions did its "Drive for Life." Thom was the "brain child" of this event and took on the huge responsibility of coordinating all of the different aspects involved. He was in charge of contacting the different businesses for donation support, and also dealing with the media during the live remotes at the different credit unions. Being the truly unselfish type, he let others enjoy being able to talk to the community on the radio and help spread the word of "what Credit Unions stand for." He was there for all of the participants and always had a kind word of encouragement when things started getting a little overwhelming. Thom kept everyone focused on the chapter’s purpose, that: As the Bloomington Chapter of Credit Unions, "we are here for the community, and we want to get and stay involved with our community."

Thom Ewen, as the CEO of a credit union, and this year’s Legislative Forum Representative, should be an inspiration and role model for all up-and-coming credit union officials.
