This is Deborah’s first year serving on the Central Illinois Chapter board, but that does not mean that she is new to the Credit Union Movement. During her first year with the chapter, Deborah took on the IYIC Representative position which was vacated by a former board member. She has become an active IYIC Representative, attending many of the meetings, seminars, and conference calls. She has taken her passion for the Credit Union Movement and the Credit Union philosophy of "People Helping People" and developed a reading program with the local Salvation Army. This program was awarded a Foundation grant to purchase needed books. With the help of her fellow board members and other participating credit unions, children living at the Salvation Army will benefit from the new world that reading opens.
The Central Illinois Chapter wishes to recognize Deborah for her many contributions.
