Community Involvement Eagle Award winner 2000 Chapter Coat Drive

Beginning in November Kankakee Valley Chapter hosted a coat drive for the needy in Kankakee County. Flyers were posted in credit union lobbies, and members donated their unneeded coats. A local dry cleaner was willing to pick up the coats from the credit unions. The ICU Foundation provided a grant. All together 270 coats were donated. The coats were distributed through the Salvation Army and local churches. A real team effort toward our philosophy of "People Helping People."
